Work’s been incredibly busy as of late, but I managed to sneak away for a short roadtrip to California with Tom and Sam.
We made a pit stop at Red Rock Canyon before jumping on the freeway.
The drive down to Venice Beach was nice until we hit LA traffic. We left Las Vegas around 1pm, and didn’t arrive at our beach house until 8pm. Fail.
Some high contrast monochromatic goodness courtesy of my Ricoh GRII…
I woke up early the next morning to photograph the sunrise at Venice Beach.
Some interesting architecture…
After a short nap, we made our way over to Santa Monica Pier.
There was an astronaut and a lot of birds…
The beach was beautiful.
After lunch at the pier, we started driving down to San Diego.
Unfortunately, I left my camera on in the bag, and it was dead by the time we arrived in San Diego. How sad. I’ll have to visit again soon.
